The Eibtaler Hof helps to reduceCO2 emissions and implements various measures.
Thus, the electricity demand of the hotel is balanced to 50% by climate-neutral electricity from LandEnergie 100.00plus and by a photovoltaic system with a total output of 29.6 kWp. Additionally, we use only energy-saving LED technology in the hotel, including motion detectors, to counteract unnecessary electricity consumption.
The heat supply of the Eibtaler Hof is provided by a biomass heating system (wood chips). We also use the process of heat recovery in the cooling units and our indoor pool.
Alone, 9 of the cooling units continuously heat 1,000 liters of service water to 40° C, and for the indoor pool, up to 95% of the heat can be recovered.
Since environmentally conscious actions are an important part of the sustainable securing of our future, we have used so-called component activation, also in the construction of our indoor pool, relying on environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional heating technology. Additionally, because the underfloor heating was directly embedded in the concrete slab, unnecessary styrofoam and screed were saved.
We take our responsibility for a future worth living for our grandchildren very seriously and therefore try to keep our ecological footprint small with the mentioned measures for CO2 emission reduction, rainwater use, and our commitment to organic farming.
